The Effect of Tibetan Singing bowl Sound Healing on Anxiety and Effect of Intensive Care Unit Nurses
Pre-experimental study on 40 nurses of special departments in Alborz Hospital 2021-2022
Negative affect and increased anxiety are associated with increased incidence of disease. This study examined the effects of sound meditation, Specifically, Tibetan singing bowl meditation was studied on positive and negative affection, anxiety, heart rate, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure in forty special ward nurses (9 men, 31 women with an average age of 39 years). The average anxiety score of participating nurses decreased significantly after sound meditation (p<0.05). The average score of their emotion increased significantly (p<0.05). Tibetan singing bowl meditation may be a low-cost and feasible technology intervention to reduce anxiety, negative affection, and increase positive affection. This type of meditation may be especially helpful in reducing anxiety.
